NYR, loving the rainbow of Rivet Chinos you've been sporting over the last little while. Your fits have given me some ideas on how to further develop my work wardrobe (pretty casual, I work in University Admin).

Maybe I'll pull the trigger on some Epaulet pants and hope they fit in the top block/thigh - even with their detailed measurements I'm a little leery as they are cut trim frown.gif too bad I can't try them on.

They're far from skinny, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Worst case, you can have these altered to fit better.

I like all the maroon pants clogging up this thread lately. Though, in fairness I detest the selvedge. The allure eludes me, which is saying something, because I pretty much have everything figured out.

Looks like they aren't vanity sized either - waistband x 2 = waist measurement. Just pulled the trigger on a pair of the Khaki Canvas ones.... should be here in a couple of weeks smile.gif

Will build up neutral basics first.

I think the appeal is that some Japanese woman struggled to work the shuttle loom to make the fabric. If that isn't bona fide I don't know what is. In any case, the Epaulets are taped not selvedge.

OH SNAP

FWIW I got a pair of rivet chinos in the french blue in size 34. I wear 34 in most trousers and size down in most chinos but I am guessing these will need to be let out in the seat to be comfortable. I hope they work for me as the made in the USA is appealing and the construction of epaulet clothing is remarkable.

I really want the caramel colored canvas as well if these fit.

Plum 10oz, I like the 10 oz better than the 7 as they hang better with the meatier shoes that I wear...

I agree, but I owned a pair of 10s briefly while experimenting with sizes and they seemed a bit too heavy for summer wear. Now that I've found my size, though, I may still grab a pair of 10s in green just 'cause they're so durned purrrrty.

I don't why if it's because of the overall outfit or not, but I much prefer the 32. The 31 just looks too skinny.

I have one pair true to size (32), and one -1. The waist of the first is indeed too wide, but it's okay apart from that. The -1 is tight in the waist, but also in the thighs (football...) and it's on the short side. In my case, -2 (a number you read a lot about these jeans, -3 even) wouldn't work.

32 - 31

NOBD - love the blue suede PTBs, what do you usually wear them with? Jeans?

More suitable for the casual thread than the regular one today...
