WAYWRN: MC Casual Style - Page 403

Jacket is a bit too big, but I don't trust my tailor with men's outerwear. maybe when I have access to someone better. she's not wrecking my barbour. Ugly, I'm okay with.

Pants are a great fit, actually, but the angle of the shot and my huge ass hands in my pockets are fucking with them. No boot tuck, the thing just catches on the tongue when I don't tie them tight enough.

In my minds eye you are asian. Mind = blown.

If you wanna wear crazy shit at least be a man about it.

Spot on with most of this Jimi. I think there are quite a few guilty of part a.

If those aren't Clark's desert boots in beeswax, they look very similar....

Really? Was there a particular reason?

They are. They've just developed an odd patina from years of coal dust, ash, and regular brushing and waxing. They're practically purple, they were high tan when I bought them.

The last few pages of this thread have been a bit of train wreck: Holdfast, you know what I think about your casual fits, this one doesn't change my opinion! Acecow, you don't pull those trousers off at all, sorry - you look embarrassed to be wearing them. Liam, I just don't know - apart from the boots, nothing really looks right.

I am coming to the conclusion that people are trying way too hard here and using a checklist approach to casual summer looks. Where's the simple and effortless style?

One of my jobs has a lot of coal dust on the floor. one of my other jobs has a lot of cigar ash. I brush my shoes when I leave the house, and again when I get home because of this. I wear them daily (probably 300 days a year) and condition them every fifty wears, wax them every 100.

Sorry you don't like. And I've never managed "simple and effortless" other than possibly with casual pants and a OCBD. Tried to there, apparently that didn't work.

hendrix, your approval of certain sw&d items including stretched tees, harem pants, and the like unfortunately makes your opinion completely inconsequential. You are in no position to judge my choice of clothing however awesome it may be.

FM, I don't look embarrassed in them. On the contrary, I was feeling great. I went to dinner and a huge dance party. Received plenty of compliments and fell in love with those pants. For the record, that was the first time I wore them ever. More to come!
