Not awful, but not awesome. Is that jacket half of a suit, by any chance, or did you buy it on its lonesome? It fits pretty well -- I'm just not sure about the stripes.

Jeans and watch are cool though.

Thanks for the feedback! I was looking at Ian Velardi's look book and the jacket seems to be featured in the same way. Perhaps the shorter look is not right for me!

I like it a lot... even if it is an orphan jacket. This is "jeans and jacket" done right if you ask me... nod[1].gif

Not a fan of the suit jacket paired with denim but the look is good

It's a pretty dominant trend -- even great designers like Velardi are tacking onto it. It's not a bad thing, but in the long term, the look won't age well.

Fuuma linked to another pic of the boots... do you get a Merrell vibe from all plaintoe boots? confused.gif

I don't get what the fuck SB is on about. The boots are cool. The whole outfit is pretty damn good.

It's just Fuuma's soul patch that's concerning.

Agree. I suppose if I don't love it, I shouldn't be spending on it (even if I would receive 20 off).

Who might you recommend? The shoulders of this coat fit me perfectly (I have an 11 inch drop). I am still trying to find an otr fit that works for me.

Appreciate the honest feedback!

I tucked the tie in because I had to lean forward while taking the picture.
Do you consider mixing silver watch and -beltbuckle with brass jacket buttons faux pas?

I tend to stay away from brass buttons altogether

That said, I like the look here... are those wholecuts your'e wearing?

You could use a slimmer shirt, especially in the sleeves.

No. Great ensemble. Not terribly casual, though. smile.gif

Thank you guys for comments. This jacket is really part of suit. I know the rules but sometimes it's good to break some of them smile.gif

On reflection, I agree, though loose clothes in the summer have something to recommend them.
