I quite like this. I recently got a pair of yellow shorts and have actually found the color quite versatile.

Your house always seems so empty compared to the way you dress. I take it you aren't making the decorating decisions?

Mr K - lookin' good! +1 to a darker blue.

Is it a new trend to wear those kind of belts?

Ribbon belts are great for the summer. I have a few that I bring out for summer time and then they get hung for the colder months.

I know it might kill the spirit of "MC Casual" but I also think popping on a linen blue SC (the rumpled linen shows you're not taking things too seriously) might add some more contrast and a darker color to reign in the look a bit? Just my $0.02.

The pants are actually Mabitex. I should have left the jacket on. I did have a blue linen one on before getting home. I would also love different shoes, but am still waiting for my Alden longwings to get done and my double monks to get here, so these are my most comfortable hot weather shoes.

Those pants are fucking baller. I also love the "yachty by nature look". Only thing I might contemplate is a belt with maybe some reds or greens in it? Make it slightly less monochrome/break things up a bit? Just nit picking.

All and all a really solid look. You even made me forget there's a pony on your shirt. Well done.

No, they've been forum popular for some time. The reason you see so many of them is you can get them for single digit prices, so it's not hard to build a collection of them.

Keep the fits coming!

Thanks, guys!

Yeah, if I had a ribbon belt with another primary colors, I probably would have gone with that. Good point. Gotta add that to the shopping list. smile.gif

Have look on eBay. There is a seller who has every colour and size. D rings could do with being a bit more beefy but I got three for about $20.

@ Aeglus are you really criticising someone else for having dodgy barnet?

don't take this the wrong way but the MC side doesn't dress any better and you really, REALLY need a new haircut.

Some people may find inspirations from the likes of gshen, who really nail down the casual look. It's not that hard to post here as well. Please, keep doing so, you will help many readers improve. Also, aeglus, you dress really well, and I hope you won't partake in this retarded discussion between MC and SW&D. Both sides have hits or misses and an obviously different approach to dressing. There's much to be learned from both and there is no need to discuss this further. The most vocal opposition to SW&D style does not speak for all of us.

I agree, but there is no reason not to break the rules once in a while. Mr. K can coordinate pretty well and the fit is always spot-on. That's one of those times when you can get away breaking the rules after learning them.

That is pretty good! What are the shoes? Also, are the pants denim or what?!

There's also that whole protection from the elements thing. Far, far down the list, but occasionally, pretty useful.

Wow, I thought it was supposed to be summer. So cold an rainy today I had to throw on my coat.

Trying to add a bit of summer color with the pink shirt - the coat is charcoal, not black.
