CPTJeff stop shitting up this thread. Start another thread if you need to carry this on.

thanks for including me as an example.

The sleeves aren't actually wrapped around the neck, but are draped and sewn at the shoulders to give an illusion of a sweater wrapped around the neck. The knit sleeves are very light and draped strategically to not wave around when moving. It also comes in handy when it's hot and I'm sweating because it acts as a handkerchief

Those yellow trousers look good but don't seem to pair well with the shirt. All too often your colours seem so bland against your pale skin that you melt into the foreground. I compliment you on stepping out of that with these trousers along with a pair of bright red ones I saw you wear, and encourage you to continue to explore these bolder colours.

(How's that for a back handed compliment?biggrin.gif)

Pretty good example of what I think of as casual from a MC mindset.

As long as we're criticizing outfits, I would say that coat looks too big and all together you're going to look like a big brown bland thing. Sure it's not gonna get any negative leers and giggles from the general public but it's not going to please anyone but yourself either.

The reason this thread needs to be is because SW&D is full of people who dress badly 80% or more of the time! Yes, certain looks from there are nice (I'm not trying to be an asshole), but most of the time, there are too many shitty sneakers, black, baggy 'ninja' looks and just general poor fits, etc! No, I'm not trying top be all 'grown up' and shit by saying the 'ninja' look is bad (I have seen plenty of good 'ninja' looks), but most of the ones from SW&D are just bad, IMO! Warning: Spoiler! don't take this the wrong way but the MC side doesn't dress any better and you really, REALLY need a new haircut.

I like this a lot. The pants are definitely out there but as an across-the-board advocate of GTH, I appreciate what you're doing. BTW, are those RLPL? They look to have the same fabric/drape as my red RLPLs do.

I know it might kill the spirit of "MC Casual" but I also think popping on a linen blue SC (the rumpled linen shows you're not taking things too seriously) might add some more contrast and a darker color to reign in the look a bit? Just my $0.02.

The reason some are saying the shirt doesn't "go" with the pants or needs something else like a jacket is that the pants are an extremely aggressive, saturated yellow and the shirt is a pretty pale, sky blue. A stronger shade of blue in a shirt or jacket would balance better. But there's nothing really wrong with the fit and the belt is nice - though I don't think I'd have gone with boots.

The basic idea of clothes (at least the way MC is classically) is to bring attention to one's face... that's why the bright yellow pants fit is a failure. All focus goes to the legs and not the face. Sorry, you've had nicer fits before. This is also why usually it's best to have a SC darker than your trousers.
