I would size up on the henley (mostly because it is a bit short in arms and body) unless the next size is huge on you, although you can get away with the size you have.
I don't care for hoodies much (neither does SWD for what it is worth), but they are okay as beater items to throw on at the beach or by a campfire. It probably cost $10 so why not keep it for such situations. GDL is right about better alternatives than the hoodie generally.
The hemmed jeans make me wince, but I understand that is accepted around these parts and you didn't ask about that anyway.
