Polo: Nigel Hall

Chinos: Gap

Socks: Wolsey

Shoes: Loake Jack

Apologies for the lack of full body shot. I'm still getting used to how things are done around here!

Nice, @europrep. Fabric on that jacket looks awesome.

First run for this jacket in MC Casual:

CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), default quality

Thanks CD.  One of my favorite fabrics...I lovely blue hop sack.

Apologies for my ignorance, but what is the reasoning behind the snap-button combo?

Not ignorant at all, I wondered the same thing at first. The metal button secures the opening of a very large map pocket that takes up almost that full side of the jacket. A must for any modern cartographer.

Got it, thanks

A warm, humid day with promise of thunderstorms later on - linen and "beater" shoes are the order of the day.

Europrep! Nice Socks! Where are they from? The textures are just awesome!

Hey guys, this is my first attempt going sockless, sorry for bad picture.

On the plus side holy shit 10 pound jeans. Shoes were discounted too, Loake Skipton got them for 50 pounds new. I don't usually wear these kinds of things so I thought I'd get some cheaper pieces a try first. My partner says I look like a Lounge Lizard whatever that means.

You need a better belt than that, and preferably brown if not to match your shoes then at least to be in the same general colour range.

Agree on the belt. I will say this though, those are perfect shoes for your first go at sockless. Shirt looks pretty cool, but I like one more roll on those sleeves...just my thing.

These are absolutely fantastic.

Context matters. What look are you going for? That outfit has a certain "buy this used rolex from me" vibe to it. More tame pants, another button buttoned, no metallic sungies, etc, might moderate that vibe. If you want to look a little edgy/sleazy then fine.

And for the usual critics of my criticism, I do consider this constructive criticism - if that's not what he's going for, it might be useful info.

Edit: I've decided it's too much unbuttonedness.

I am a usual critic of your criticism, but I think you're mostly on-point with this.

If it's any indicator I didn't actually bring the sunglasses, and I buttoned an extra button before I leave the house, which I think means I agree completely, I just thought it was funny for the picture.

On defense of the belt, it's the right shade I think just bad lighting. Got it from equusleather.
