Chocosa's pants and shirt are quite good actually.

However for shoes, I would've gone with black or blue Chucks with white soles, similar color espadrilles, a black leather sandal, or dark brown or gray boat shoes.

Blue boat shoes would be too matchymatchy, and black boat shoes should not exist. The black loafers are actually a better choice than those.

Seersucker on a warm summer day.  Sorry for the keys snapped these pics just before getting in the car to head to dinner and a movie with my lady.

Shirt is for a warm summer day and trousers and shoes are more for colder spring or fall days. Try some linen trousers and loafers and you have a good summer look.

I think it's fine to wear jeans year round, but not when it's 90 to 100 degrees out.  There is light weight denim, but most pairs are over 10 ounces.  I disagree about seersucker being only appropriate for extremely hot weather.  It's a form over function argument.  I understand the functional idea, but I think the shirt is a great pattern and has a beautiful texture.  Hot or not, I think it looks nice bottom line.

that is not the point. we cant possibly judge how he feels. we can judge how he looks, and for looks, there is no reason to critique jeans for being worn in the summer.

Today is very casual, as it will be 33C/92F by the afternoon here, though I have to run to Paul Stuart's this afternoon to try on the last of my summer sales indulgences - a solid navy double-breasted suit. The trouser pleats were rather ugly, as I remember - I may have them removed before taking final delivery of the suit.

However, this is as much insulation as I'm handling today.

For construction workers and gardeners only. And none of the real workmen wear jeans anywhere as tight as #menswear or #urbanlumberjack.

Who pray tell are these real workmen?

I'm tired and lazy this morning - rumpled linen and a buttondown shirt are all I can muster today. Please do forgive me.

I did, however, pick up my new suit from Paul Stuart yesterday, and decided to live with the pleats in the trousers as they are. If it cools down by Friday, maybe I'll give it a go.
