I always dig a good longwing. Don't know why. I've certainly come to appreciate sleekness, but for some reason the long wing just says "yes" to me.

I was just wondering yesterday if you were ever coming back.

Anyhoo, these aren't longwings, but they are certainly a sturdy shoe.

What is that then? A wingtip with a big ass?

This is the second time in as many days that not looking closely has caught me. Who are they by? In any case, unless you've undergone a fundamental shift, I can still imagine them being a great and versatile shoe for you.

As to being back... I don't know about that quite yet. Best thing I can say is that it has been an egregiously long six months or so and I have missed the place.

They're Allen Edmonds. I don't have the shoe vocabulary to call out the specific parts of the shoe, but the wings don't go the length of the shoe. I can see how the picture might look that way at first glance. And, yes, I think the shoe is nicely versatile, working with chunkier tailored clothing and also jeans.

****, if nothing else, we need to see how that Despos commission turned out!
