It's otherwise a good look WJ. It it's destroyed by the high water strides with huge cuffs. One less fold and cuffs half that height and you would have been golden.

I'm not sure where or when this ridiculous trend started on here but whoever is responsible wants flogging. Good style should be quietly self-confident and does not need these attention-seeking gimmicks IMO.

One less fold would've been horrible IMO. The cuffs are only 1.5".

Its practical IMO...when its that hot, the fact that you can expose your ankles helps keep you cool.

I think it's worth sacrificing a fraction of comfort to not look ridiculous, otherwise we could spend all summer wearing nothing but our drawers. I live in Houston which arguably has the hottest USA climate outside of Arizona and Florida and while it's fine to go sockless from time to time with the right outfit, I'm never tempted to take it to peewee Herman extremes!

wj4 there's always something proportionally off about your outfits. your shirts/jackets are all too slim, and it emphasizes your hips (which isn't helped by the trousers you wear)

+1

Some of these affectations look costumey and desperate.

Pants that high need to have a greater taper. Further, with the "keeping cool" defense, why leave the shirt sleeves down?

I don't think Ian was talking about the size of cuffs but rather their extreme height above the ground. Cuffs at that height look good when you're out digging for clams at low tide, but the rest of your outfit doesn't fit that particular vibe.

Sorry if I misinterpreted you, Ian.

You don't strike me as having much of a SW&D influence, which is fine. WJ4 does have that vibe. Having said that...

I'd have rolled up the sleeves. Sleeves get rolled once its 70 for me.
