I'm sure there is some reddit sub forum that also drools over the latest look book from Banana Republic. You will have much better luck there.
Now where did that ignore button go......
I get you but you are playing a silly game of finding some average dudes and comparing them against fashion models. I could dress like them all day and look like an ass, that is why they are models because they are slightly better looking than a clothes hanger. You win the argument that male models will pick up more chicks than the gentlemen on the forum. You could also dress them in well tailored outfits exactly like the SF gentlemen are wearing and guess what, they are going to get more chicks than we are. Is this news to you that women prefer attractive muscular young men? You put those same SF gentlemen in the J Crew stuff and most of us will look like a stuffed sausages because many of us are middle aged with jobs so don't have washboard abs. Do you think the girls will fall all over us if we dress like these children? I dress in SF approved clothing because it draws attention to my broad shoulders, slim legs and away from my growing belly. That is the entire purpose of dressing well, you highlight your attributes and minimize your faults. This is a forum for people who enjoy this look, if you don't like it why are you here? To spread your wisdom that J Crew models are better looking than us? Ok we got it, lesson learned.
LOL. Of course attractive women would date a model rather than an average person. I look ridiculous in a sweater and tie, for instance - like a grown-up schoolboy.
Come on, you can do better!
You're right, they don't compliment - but at least they don't tell you how "dressed up" (in a bad way) you look with your sweater and shirt. I take that as a compliment - I've been told "sweaters are for old fogeys".
In fact I do get complimented at work with my SF costumes, although it's usually by women in their 40's and 50's, a little too old for me
I am surrounded by diplomatics at work, which are used to wearing coat and tie since they were young...
Others have already pointed out the trolliness of comparing regular dudes with catalogue models, but you're the better kind troll that occasionally raises valid points hidden under the cloak of the trolling, So, it's worth also pointing out that the other part of the equation you're either choosing to ignore or simply cannot fathom, is some people have grown beyond the dating scene stage of life. Appearing attractive to random birds doesn't really come into my choice of dress all that much any more. There are other, far more interesting & important reasons that can underpin how you want to look on a given day.
Anyway, some more fodder for you to compare to a mall fashion shoot...
