It's certainly shorter than I'm used to, maybe also even short in an absolute way though probably not. You might remember that I let the Suitsupply tailor decide all alterations on this jacket, just to see what they'd do if left to their own devices; in future, I won't get the jacket length shortened on Havanas. Also, when the weather turns and I don't need the jacket, I'm going to get the sleeves shortened slightly and the waist let out just a little. Same changes for the Napoli I got at the same time (its jacket length is a little longer, and spot-on IMO). I'll leave the length of this one as is, though; it's good to have a shorter option for some kinds of fit I think.

I think all of this is a good idea.Shorter sleeves, longer jacket and slightly less waist suppression may take some of the effeminate look away from it.

Holy saturation +45.

That looks nice, DLester. And you can probably make it work as well. In general, the chance of success is just higher with darker brown shoes. smile.gif

that jacket looks dad-ish in a bad way. at least a size too big.

You say that about all my stuff! But for this jacket, I would actually agree. It's a size larger than I would wear/buy today. It's getting on for 8-10 years old, so was bought when I was heavier. The quality & softness of the suede is simply amazing, but it's too big. I paid a fortune for it (Loro Piana), and it's still in virtually perfect condition, so I can't bear to part with it but I can only wear it on super lazy days like today when I'm not too concerned about appearance and just want something soft to comfortably slouch around it. biggrin.gif

Holdfast, your colo(u)rs today look like a cross-section of earth and sky.

Funnily enough, that was almost my verbatim answer to the colour-blind gag.

Holdfast, you look like my uncle in that picture. I will say though that most other days you dress far better than he ever has.

Cloudy, cool, and wet day. So much for summer. biggrin.gif
