I'd definitely like this more if there were a pop of pattern somewhere. Otherwise it's too plain to be casual and brings the polo/jacket disharmony to the spotlight. The fit is great! I think you should do this combo with a real shirt, it would look marvelous.

General agreement from me. I used to be a frequent proponent of polo plus blazer / SC even though its SF heresy, as I never felt that comfortable with an open necked shirt, (and I don't like OCBDs) but little by little, and with some nudging by well executed pics on here, I'm coming around to it and probably wear an open neck shirt and blazer more often these days than blazer with a polo.

Went to the embassy to postpone my military service. Thought it would be funny to dress as military as I could. Here it is! (complete with epaulets and all haha)

Ps, will try and get a tripod for full fit shots!

It is predicted to reach 33C/91F here today in NYC, and I am taking full advantage of my office's "business casual" policy - linen trousers and no jacket or tie.

Shirt, trousers, shoes - all BB

If I go shopping for "any shoes", I'll most likely pick out shoes similar to the ones I already own and like.  I'm not 100% sure I care about your opinion in this matter given that I have no idea what you wear on a regular basis, but if you'd like to see a change in my footwear you should be more specific about what types of shoes would better compliment this outfit or my other outfits in which my current footwear is unsatisfying for that matter.  Otherwise, your comment is entirely unhelpful.
