Another thing someone mentioned (over in SW&D) is that the cargos are too short and that I do agree on. Will have them re-hemmed an inch or so longer.
IMO sneakers are a no-go with an outfit like this; boots will probably work best for those who find these shoes too dressy.
Everything save the sweater is military (inspired) come to think of it, the shoes too.

Please don't see this as unwillingness to learn or consider a different point of view.

not at all. and i actually thought the shoes were ok. boots would be better, but the shoes were acceptable imo.

Dress shoes (even if derby): not sportive.
Maybe some good(!) sneakers would be better here? (Nothing colourful, solid black or brown?)

I also think the shoes are fine, but I agree with stitches, a boot would be marginally better. If I were looking for an absolutely ideal shoe for this outfit, a rugged outdoorsy boot with a commando sole such as C&J Snowdon would be perfect.

Sounds like a good idea; I doubt you'll have time for a change of clothes should you get in a fight.
FWIW jumping over fences in these is just as easy as it was wearing my old boots from CCF.

Thats exactly what university students should be doing wink.gif
Good look, if I'd have to nitpick the PS could be tucked in just a bit deeper.

Agreed, though I'd have gone with the Coniston rather than the Snowdon. Easy choice though as I own neither laugh.gif

Sure!

The half-brogues below;

Are actually from Clarks goodyear-welted line. Pretty good for the price you pay, if you ask me! I just don't like the creasing :/

If you were asking about the boots, then they're C&J Harrys (Islay on a different last).

Lovely linen shirting!
The shirt's cut, the shoes and socks are not to my liking though.

very much like the colors, crat. do not love the shirt opening situation.
