Is that a polo shirt you've tucked in?
There aren't many things I really dont like but that is one of them.

I think the fact that the polo is tucked into slacks compounds the problem. There is a mismatch in formality, fit and finish, and I don't think the colors work too well either. I'm sorry for criticizing, but I thought that image was posted in gest until XKxRomeOoX and Crat commented.

Don't be, if I posted it I was looking for a critique. biggrin.gif

About the formality, the slacks are the problem? If so, I can see the mismatch in formality. On the colors, light blue with light gray and dark brown, can't see a problem, but I'm willing to hear you guys.

I don't know the technical name, but it's a soft collar commonly used on polo shirts. I choose it because it was casual enough for what I was attending.

This is how I break it down...

     polo = casual

     grey slacks ≠ casual (at least shouldn't be paired with a polo)

As far as the colors, the similarity between pants and shirt make it seem like a jumpsuit (at least in the picture).

If you swapped out the pants for some chinos, it might work better, but even then, I don't know how well the outfit would fit together. I'm just thinking that if it's casual enough to wear a polo, it's casual enough to wear chinos. Now, if you consider Crat's comment about tucking in the polo, i think the polo doesn't go with the slacks. Off the top of my head, I can't think of a good ensemble that combines an untucked shirt with grey slacks.

I think it would actually look quite nice if you'd swap the polo for a (tucked) shirt (blue gingham?). The trousers and jacket go well together, (If they are the light grey they seem to be).

Also, sure you're shopping in the right section mate?

That's interesting, thank you. A light gray flannel would not be okay for you? How about a midgray cotton drill?

Your posture is not doing you any favours as well. You look like you're slouching.
