Let me elaborate. A coat that looks more like an orphaned suit coat, worn with khakis or jeans, not casual.

From the waist up, he's ready to throw down, but from the waist down, he just wants to enjoy his tea in peace. I can dig it.

Thanks. I'm looking for some crew necks, something less dressy than Smedley, and these come in the exact two colours I'm interested in. And I like how they look shetland'y while actually being merino.

You're welcome. If you don't mind the pilling, they're nice sweaters. My next sweaters will (again) be lambswool Lockies. Great colours (including melanges) and also not too smooth/dressy. I wish they had the same fit as the Airjumpers. : )

Found and tried the Lockies but wasn't happy with the fit. And to my surprise I liked the coarser lambswool less than I'd expected shog[1].gif

: ) I don't think the fit is ideal either, but I wear them a lot. Did you get the smallest size?
I don't recall the tagged size (there was something strange going on - the shop said they had tagged them differently than normal, as they were smaller than the size indicated. Or something). Anyway, I tried the smallest they had, and while it was too large I could tell a smaller size wouldn't work due to the cut...

I understand. They have a bit of a belly. smile.gif

Yeah, shame about the lockie fit. A friend of mine has some oldies that still look very nice. He has a bit of a belly too, thehe.

This is probably more of a SW&D fit, but I'm not cool enough to post over there.

Would look better with boots imo.

Casual work outfit from yesterday

What's happening with those pants?

Top half and lower legs look fine, but the hips looks really weird.

Mirror might be distorting things.
