Fair question.

To me, it seems to be on the same formality scale as sweater + pants + shoes, which constitutes the majority of this thread.

As to whether it fits into a casual classic menswear cannon, I don't know. What I will say is that I do read a lot of Will's stuff on asuitablewardrobe and other CM sources, and that helps me to put coherent combinations together. I draw a lot of inspiration from proponents of classic menswear, but I don't want the outcome to look classic or preppy or trad or anything like that.

I think you could make an argument for each element, but the combination and the application take the whole out of bounds.

Great!
Have you tried to tuck your shirt collar into the one of the sweater?

Thanks, but I don't like tucked collars with crewnecks tbh.

A couple more shots after Valentines dinner on the harbour. Showing full length.

Trying to decide whether or not the cords need to come up a little more in the leg.

Nice video about attaining the perfect "spit" shoe shine. It's worth a click on Crat's link on the bottom of his post.

Crat, do you own any BD collar shirts and would your dislike for tucked in collars apply to them as well?

I'd tuck BD collars though I don't own any anymore. Soft collars can go either way I guess but I usually wear them untucked too. Just personal preference.

Sorry Mr. K, this is just not working for me. I think it is the bow and the jeans. Just doesn't seem to mesh.

and. the shoes are nice.

I agree. Not MC, but I prefer to see fits like this as opposed to the sportcoat and tie fits that really do belong in the WAYWRN threak..

C, is that the Air Jumper? How do you like it so far?

Did you size up like they recommend?

Lovely colour combination, C. As always.
