It's even standing up well to my stubble from not bothering to shave this morning. biggrin.gif

I used to have a superfine Loro Piana baby cashmere jumper that would have got torn to shreds by that.

(I should point out that their standard cashmere offerings are much more durable than that and I have no qualms recommending them! The particular jumper I had really was almost tissue thin; barely lasted me a couple of years. Wasn't cheap either, but taught me an important lesson: if I want a thin jumper, I get wool, not cashmere. Save the cashmere for thicker items!)

Shirting is Ringhart, yes? If so, I have it in navy (from the same shirt maker I believe). I've actually never worn it with a tie, but often with jeans. Barrel cuffs, natch ;-)

That's the one! You had more sense than I regarding the cuff choice. Probably also the colour. But I like the purple, so... :D

While purple is a bit much for me personally (I'm boring) I can appreciate it on others. I think you paired it well here - and then there was that old pic of yfyf with a purple gingham shirt and a tan (cotton?) suit, which I thought looked nice as well.
