Also had those before they were banned. I would tie a few together and use them as bolas on the neighbourhood kids. I wonder if that would work here.

Seriously?

The outfit looks great for anything not requiring a jacket and it can easily take one from a nice tweed to a camel hair or worsted wool blazer when one is required or desired, It's a great outfit to take a sleek dark brown leather jacket. It goes right up to the edge of being highly coordinated without stepping over the line, which it would cross if the leather jacket was the same color as the belt and shoes.

He could also dress it up a bit with a black belt and shoe combo, which is the exact look I wear all the time on a Friday when there will be no meetings with clients and the night out will be some form of slumming it with the boys, Although I do wear a sport coat or blazer and quite often a tie to complete the look.

Chocolate suede would be another take, but for me, it looks great as is.

Get rid of the belt. The shirt is nice but the belt in combination khakis is alluding to a bad thing, which even the excellent fit of everything can't escape. I would taper the pants a bit and lose the crease.

No. But the glasses in the pocket are.

Well, it's practical.

X-post from the "normal" WAYWRN, cuz I want two opinions.

The jacket fits well and I think I like it. The outfit does nothing for me, at all. The dad side of boring. I think it is the pants that mostly don't do it for me, though I never like norwegian shoes.

BTW, that's a thickish cashmere jumper (not a T) under the jacket, in case the full-length pic doesn't make it obvious. Everything pretty soft & loose, much like my sleep-deprived mind.

That's interesting, Holdfast. I like it. It feels like the casual wear of the 1950s icons.

Furo- you're back in biz-caz land. Cue the Greek Krater.

True, I might start wearing SCs to work, although it would only be from the parking lot to the office, and possibly to the office dining center. My SCs in the closet get very little use so might need to shake off those spiderwebs and roll em out. To be fair though, I was never out of biz caz land.

I like this. They will tell you the jacket is too short, BUT DON'T YOU BELIEVE THEM.

Hahaha, thank you.

Jacket isn't really that short. Pants seem to be a bit baggy through the "fork"
edit: SC doesn't really fit on around the collar in a great way, might be the posture though.

Oh wow, yes looking back at the picture they look horrendous there. I really haven't noticed it in 'real life', but I haven't really looked either. Thanks for the reply.

Dude... this isn't half bad. The pants are a little over-tapered IMHO, but really - you should post more. At least in the interest of getting this thread back on topic.

Thanks, I'll try to :)

I'm new to casual shirts. Picked up a few, do I need to have the bottoms hemmed or are these okay? I'm getting the sleeves taken in on all three.

If by "it" you mean any sense of cohesive style, I think that ship has well and truly sailed for you. Just a mish-mash, as usual.
