I could see that going towards a Jimmy Hendrix like look with a floppy hat and a bohemian flowery shirt before tie dye and long hair. The scarf is great love what looks like a tear in it.

Quite a few of Gerry's casual jackets fit like that. I'd wager he has relatively narrow shoulders but since the dude has style in spades it really doesn't matter as long as the shoulder seam isn't drooping half-way down the arm, especially on a knock-around jacket like that one.

Ah, yes - flower power!

The 'scarf' is actually old pieces of indigo-dyed fabric (from the early 1900s) sewn patched together. The stitching between two of the patches is coming apart so I need to stitch it up again.

Can you clarify what you mean?

It was very clear in my head when I wrote it after a few glasses of wine last night. smile.gif To me, it means casual, loose fitting clothing in bright, saturated colors and patterns (batik, floral, paisleys even) that look like they've been collected and selected haphazardly, and worn hard. Long unkempt hair optional.

Some elements of the style are definitely part of the SW&D look right now. @FrankCowperwood's floral denim and awesome oversized hat from earlier this summer come to mind. Frank could do a pretty great modern hippie fit as well.

Well that could work in a photo, but the effect in real life would be spoiled by the fact that I'm constantly shouting "Cut your hair!" at people.

Actually really like the tear in the scarf but I get it if you don't want to look too scruffy.

Thanks. I don't have an issue with it but don't want it to fall apart.
