WAYWRN: Classic Menswear, Casual Style - Page 1452

post #21766 of 22490
I am posting today, though it will be Friday before I post again, as I am off three days this week, with the unenviable task of awaiting furniture deliveries to my new apartment, where the A/C either doesn't work, or the units have had their control panel doors painted shut. (My husband and I are consulting with the contractor this evening, and that fact, among a host of others, will be a point of discussion.)

It's still hot, if somewhat less humid, in the Big Apple, so today's attire is "business casual".

Shirt/trousers - BB
Shoes - Italian-made AE

Great shirt. What's the sizing on the Gustins? I've thought about getting their straight fit, but the measurements make it seem like they'd be huge.

Perhaps it's just me, but I feel like those pants and shoes are too stark/dark for that playful shirt.

Cross post from "mainstream" thread, who is again gone to serious science.

gs77, love the loafers! Would be curious to try some Shoe Snob ware, but I live pretty far from a retailer; Leatherfoot comes to mind.

Thanks man! The last time I saw JFP shoes in LF, was at least a year ago, and they only had one pair of oxfords in blue suede but not my size. I liked the look, and after some discussion over email with @The Shoe Snob himself re sizing I ordered a pair. That was over a year ago, and I'm supper satisfied. These loafers are my second pair. I buy maybe 1 or 2 pairs of shoes a year at this point, and JFP is definitelly always considered.

Good to know. I'm still at Meermin level, but would like one day to upgrade to Carmina and J. Fitz, among others!

You probably know this, but just in case... There is a sale going on for JFP. With VAT off and GBP to CAD exchange rate, not a bad deal (if you ask for Royal Mail shipment, you might get away without huge charge on top).

You are in Canada somewhere, right?

What are those EG Khaki's? What exact pants are those?

Every time I see a post with EG in it, I go crazy. They look amazing.

@firefit

Thanks man. Those are the willy post pants from this past spring. I think they are mostly sold out, but they have a heavier khaki twill coming out this fall.

Hope that helps!
