There's gravy, and then there's gravy.  You would never put the stuff they use in poutine on your biscuits.  (Though I personally believe both brown and white have their proper uses.)

of course...but that doesnt negate the fact that brown gravy smothered on some mashed potatoes isnt pretty damn amazing.
