In which case, wouldn't the prominence of the badge negate the whole point of plain clothes?

Quite possibly, but in an office environment ID might need to be prominently displayed.

But from a satorial point of view it rates up there with having a lanyard around your neck.

My question is sincere.

It's a badge, and that big black thing right next to it is a gun.  Sometimes I'll grab a pic from work, if I don't get around to doing it before I leave the house and put that stuff on.  We have to display it around the office since I work out of a courthouse building.  It's not the most "stylish" I guess, but it's how I dress at work so what do you do?  Anyhow, plainclothes isn't always the same as "undercover", where all of that would be concealed or not worn.  It basically means I just don't wear a uniform to work.  (Thank God).

Not a fit, but I thought I'd share this.

Taken in Portland, ME last weekend.

Are those flannel trousers? You may have tipped me over the edge for getting some cricket white flannel trousers.

They certainly are. My favorite trousers, hands down. Highly recommend!

Is that coat from this year? I like the liner color in conjunction with the jade

I think I might get some made from Fox Flannel, are yours? If not where did you get them?

These are the Fox Flannel Formosa trousers from NMWA. I cannot recommend the fabric more.

Is it the worsted one? Which weight? I think I'm very likely to get it from Luxire next order, but unfortunately I'll probably get it just as winter ends. Oh well.

^ I always have trouble reconciling blocks of purple (or lilac, or lavender, or mauve...i.e. various flavours of purple) with adjacent blocks of green.

Some others seem to like it though.
