This is really nice and I'm going to use this for inspiration in the colder weather.

The idea is good, but would vastly be improved by decently fitting jeans. I also have a dislike for V neck jumpers worn without ties, which in my view detracts from the outfit, but this is more subjective.

Hmmm. Jeans fit a little hard to see clearly but this looks fine to me. I don't think a tie would work well in this fit, while the sweater is in fact very nice for CM casual.

My fit from yesterday:

V-neck jumpers without ties is classic CM casual imo.

I rather see a V-neck jumper without tie than a shawl collar cardigan without shirt. :uhoh:

Ummm… Because it's not SWD? Just a wild guess.

(and before I get some WTF replies, the point is just because you're wearing jeans and something casual doesn't make it SWD. The answer to your rhetorical question should be obvious… that's not what goes on over there.)

Yes without question. There's nothing wrong with just a scarf, bit I think in order to do that you need a scarf with a bit more "something" … body, pattern, thickness, length. That scarf just seems kinda limp and listless in that fit, although the colors and basic idea work.

What would you wear instead?

As you said subjective but I think it's great! V neck and crew neck sweaters are classic as the come. I wear both with button downs pretty much daily when it's colder

I agree.

A tie would look good with a V-neck, sure, but I don't think a V-Neck sweater "needs" a tie to look good and work well on an outfit.

Thanks for all the thoughts on the fit. I'll try to post a full length shot of the jeans at some point. They're a bit wider below the knee than I'd like but are a pretty standard straight cut (APC NS).
