How's it going? I'm sort of a newer member. I've mainly been lurking the forum to get ideas. I've been told in another thread that my style was too old for my age (nearly 23), and I'm trying to transition to making my new purchases slimmer fitting. First post in this thread anyway. I haven't fully developed my style yet, but I recently looked at two sales (Land's End Canvas and Old Navy) to get suede desert boots and slim fit khakis. I don't have a lot of money to work with, so there's only so much I could invest in at a time.

Two pics, one front and one side profile. Sorry about the lack of lighting.

I think the polo shirts are a bit baggy, but I'm working out every other day to get in better shape, which should make it less apparent. I'm actually a slim guy at 155 lbs and 6'1", but with relatively large thighs and wide hips, about as wide as my upper torso. One past mistake was wearing pants that were too wide and full-cut, and I'm trying to change this as soon as possible. This fall I'm going to even try to get new jeans, Levi's 501 in their rigid unwashed version.

How do you guys take the pictures? Do you ask your woman/man (mom or girlfriend/dad or boyfriend) to take the pictures?
It's like:
- Hi, honey.
- Could you take some pictures of my outfit with your single-lens reflex camera?
- Why?
- So I can post it at a fashion forum, so other guys can comment on my lovely outfit.

He's certainly welcome to it!

Meanwhile, here's some pics from yesterday that were taken at an automotive get together when I wasn't looking. The sport coat had come off due to the mugginess and the fact that most folks there were in jeans and tee shirts. Otherwise, the offensive shirt logo would have never been seen. Note the dirty bucks and rolled up sleeves. Reese, the little JRT spent the day getting the rock star treatment. There's no living with him today.

Pretty much. Maybe someday I'll invest in a remote. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

I hate that sweater.

On a side note: the different color bracelet and watch band is visually odd, especially when the bracelet matches the shoes.

Does this fall under the Law of Unintended Consequences?

Wasn't going to take a snap today as too casual/sloppy for this thread, probably, but what's life without an occasional risky move...

I await the ire (and suggestions!) with interest... :)

Just burn the whole thing. It'll be easier.

If you insist on sticking with it, you've got to start with getting the polo tailored. WAY too baggy. Definitely ditch the belt and change the shoes. Not a sneaker clothing combo.

You should really look into some skinnier polo's and casual shirts. I know you're a skinny guy, but this is something that I see popping up with your fits whenever you go casual.

The belt is Steve & Co, but I don't think they sell it anymore. Trousers are H&M...

Brand doesn't really matter. They are still ugly as sin.
