I am no photography expert but just looking at the picture, there is too much going on with the bushes in the back
You don't clearly stand out from the background
I think a different background/setting would work better
I personally think the army digi camo is ugly as hell
There is actually an article about how it was a $5billion debacle by the us army
http://www.stripes.com/news/us/army-s-5b-failed-pixelated-uniform-getting-scrapped-1.181435

It's the worst uniform in the world. I'm glad that I'm getting out before they switch so I don't have to buy new **** to match.

@ CD Hagg: That cornflower blue jacket is Pal Zileri (via ebay). Completely deconstructed, lightweight linen, no padding or lining, feels like a cardigan. I love it as it can dress up slightly an outfit in hot weather without adding much in the way of bulk or heat.
@ Fuuma: Not trying to channel Bowie, I'm thin and I'm White and although not a duke, will soon be married to an Ashanti princess. Never been called 'preppy' before!

I think you'd improve your outfits tremendously if you didn't match your shoes to your jackets or tops like a Nike collector.

Thanks for the reply. If I had the time, I would Photoshop and blur out the background, but I lack the time nowaday.
I'm eventually going to try out more interesting backdrops on the weekends when I carry my tripod with me. The options are limited on week days since I need to look for something to put the camera on.

Your color photos are great
But i think a lot of it is that your outfits are colorful and you stand out
Where as in the b&w i had to look for where you were in the picture

"Cool shoes!!!!"
Thanks. Just something fun.

Dig, you could make this better. A button-down and a slimmer cuff would improve the look of the shirt, and darker shoes would go a long way. What about a black polo? Unfortunately, Kent doesn't seem to offer it in black, but a nicely fitting black polo would probably look better than a black dress shirt.

Good eye on the cuffs. There is (understandably) a dearth of black shirts out there of any type of quality. I have built a small rotation of cotton shirts that includes this JAB, Banana Republic, Bacharach , Port Authority and ...coff...Sean John. The JAB is the only one that feels moderately comfortable. These are all thrifted "try outs'' as I will be purchasing a fair number once I make a choice and the current hands down selection is the JAB. It's available in a button collar as well and, of course, I'll get them in my size as soon as they go on sale for buy one, get two free. I'm not enthusiastic about paying a lot of money for a bunch of black shirts.

The polos would work but I'd need a pocket and besides, I like the long sleeves. I get cold in the AC, now that I'm aging. As to the shoes, I usually wear brown or black AE oxfords of differing styles. I just felt like suede monks today.

You have my sympathies.

Thank you. Much appreciated.

Haha, I'm going to wear my camo shirt and stand in the bushes, and of course make the picture black/white. :slayer:

Fair enough. In the interim, you could move the button on the cuff to get a better fit.

Thanks DIL :)
FWIW there are no sunglasses, on the planet, that actually look good on me. Choices are Liberacci^2 or DoucheCop. Those are my only options.
No problem braaaaaah. I think people here only give you a hard time because they fear your progress. And being a **** is fun.

I think you'd actually look better with lenses that were more geometrically suited to your face shape -- maybe a pair that were a little more rectangular, and flatter along your nose.

I like those -- they're not super expensive. And they fold and ****, too!

Hey Dig, have you thought about going custom for these black shirts? A lot of online tailors are getting pretty decent these days in terms of both cost and quality and many will let you send them your own fabric upon request, which can actually cut down on the cost of the shirt quite a bit. Put This On has a few good articles on the process if you are interested. Just google "The Custom Shirts Series".

Those are pretty cool glasses, but when I had the wayfarers (similarish frame shape) I thought they looked cool. Looking back, notsomuch. Also, these are about 3x what I usually spend on sunglasses, lol. I lose or break them almost every other month.

Also, thank you :)
