General agreement from me. I used to be a frequent proponent of polo plus blazer / SC even though its SF heresy, as I never felt that comfortable with an open necked shirt, (and I don't like OCBDs) but little by little, and with some nudging by well executed pics on here, I'm coming around to it and probably wear an open neck shirt and blazer more often these days than blazer with a polo.
Thanks for the feedback fellas; yeah, I can see what you both mean. If I'm really honest, part of the reason I wear polos with jackets in summer is the same reason I wear turtlenecks with them in winter: it saves me having to iron a shirt at the end of the week! But if I'm going to wear solid polos - and all my polos are solids - under a jacket, I should probably pair them with something patterned elsewhere, to break it all up a bit, especially at weekends.

Ps, will try and get a tripod for full fit shots!
I like that cheekiness. Nice fit, too. BTW, you don't necessarily need a tripod for full shots; a handy shelf or window ledge or similar works just fit (although depending on its height, can introduce some distortions.
AAS - great casual fit. I don't even mind the boat shoes with it.
More or less casual today, although I was working:
