Every time I come to look at this thread I have to go back 10 pages to see the genesis of the current spat

That's half the fun of this thread. Even though I've never posted a picture in this particular thread, it's consistently one of my favorites to keep coming back to.

Seriously, could this be any more Freudian?!

I'm glad you're not going bareback against those giant balls, especially given the size of the cannon...

Actually, I like this fit quite a lot: the colour and pattern of the shirt works great with the trousers.

This belt business is ridiculous. Thicker belts are more casual and this is a pretty casual outfit. Besides It's such a small thing and it's only noticeable from the front because the jacket covers it. As mentioned the shoes are a bit too formal, but overall I think it looks great. Also specifically suggesting cordovan or crocodile? It sounds like we're spitting out SF buzz words. There are a million options, all equally good.

Looks too thick to my eye, but I suppose to each his own. If you re-read my post I said that I own cordovan and alligator belts (one is 1" and one is 1.5") that I like best. I also said ribbon would be cool. And, in a shocking turn of events, both materials existed (both on Earth and in my closet) before SF.

Those shoes are champions on the deck so their appearance is mitigated.
