Is that better or worse? I need a big-kid sweater for Iceland... not sure I wanted to pay for north sea, pretty sure I don't want to pay for that, but definitely sure I don't want to freeze to death...

sns herning is more expensive than north sea, no? if you want to a good thick sweater on the cheap look for vintage shetland on ebay and shetland on sierra trading post.

fwiw, sns is extremely warm. i had to sell mine because it was just too warm.

Going by google converter on the two sites I had them bookmarked they were within about 15 bucks of each-other, but I may have just had insanely overpriced ones bookmarked.

Seeing as I've not actually got a winter coat, that may be in my best interests to get the sns then.. Thank you for the help.

I have no idea. I really like this one (and my Stark) though.

You are correct. Those of us with long torsos need to use visual tricks to even out the proportions. Pants with no cuffs is one.

Take a look at your shirt to pant proportions. See how incredibly long you look from shoulders to belt? Part of that is because your pants are now shorter in length than your torso. The bulky cuffs draw attention to your pink ankles which are creating blocks of color (dark suede, pink, khaki, dark belt, grey/blue shirt), but most of the action is near the ground. This draws the eye not just away from your face, but down and out completely.

Compare this with the proportion of lvrwi's fit. Even without the shoes, do you see how the button is slightly above midpoint? Genius.

Just like hip-hugger jeans only look good on tall, skinny women, low-rise pants only look "good" on tall, skinny men. The SW&D folks may give you **** about dad jeans, but a taller rise will give a better approximation of ideal proportions.
