Thanks, man. The pants could have done with being less crumpled. Next time

Worn to a Hip Hop event out here in the valley for a a friends clients event..might be a little street and denim versus it being Casual Mens wear but this is what I wore last night..

So to tip the scales back towards the casual mens wear side, this was a fit from a couple weeks ago before heading to the airport... wanted to dress simple enough to get through the gates fast but layered enough to take on the cooler temperatures when in flight..this linen/silk/wool bomber was perfect for that..

^Nice outfit.

Re: Cuffs. I actually think cuffs--especially larger ones--cause the wearer to appear shorter. Instead of the jeans starting from the waist and bringing the eye down to the ankle, the cuffs break up the leg, making them appear smaller in length.

I agree that cuffs vs. no cuffs make legs look shorter, which is why I never did cuffs all before getting into raw denim. But if you're doing raw, you're going to have shrinkage and you need cuffs until you wash (I hem after washing). For some reason, I find that shorter cuffs don't look good on me.

Thick lambswool for a cold day.

Here's my problem with the "cuffs make you look shorter" argument... Excepting those closer to 7' than 6', is there anyone that actually wants to look shorter? Why would anybody cuff except the few who are tall enough to be self-conscious about it? Why would 2" trouser cuffs be so damned popular among the #menswear set? Surely all these well-dressed people are not deliberately looking for a way to make themselves look shorter...

I just think cuffed jeans require you to take your shoes off and run on the beach with a good pedicure. When I cuff my jeans otherwise I look like I'm trying too hard.

My reason is because of what has been mentioned above. I am still breaking in the denim and will get it hemmed after the first wash.

Also, some people turn up their cuff to expose the selvedge ID.

I usually never wear cuffs on my jeans because I don't know how you guys do it but if I keep still they look ok but once I star walking they get all messed up... I hate it. There is no way they stay put and intact... :(

Sorry for this cuasi-mugshot from jail haha
