Sorry, man, but I looked at my tie rack again and changed my mind. Thought about PMing you but decided I didn't need to since I didn't ask you to hold the items for me and your post clearly says you don't do that anyway.

Mea culpa.

As one of your "regulars", can I bribe you with more?

I paypal-ed immediately once you accepted the offer. If you didn't get it, let me know and I will rectify.

Percentage wise, what you sellers consider a low ball offer. I hardly send any offers so am not familiar with the etiquette

For the record: I low ball, and am not offended when someone low balls me.

I love the people who want you to send a $200 shirt on the other side of the planet for $20 shipped.

Cheapskates are inherent in any sort of venue like B&S and ebay. If they weren't cheap they would buy it a normal way. I have little patience for 400 detailed questions and requests of you for something that is like $20.

CS - a lot of your stuff in b&s LOOKS thrifted. holes, rips, stains, odd sizing - kiton size 18 neck with coffee stains, etc.

i've seen you in the thrift thread post good finds, but those aren't in B&S

Not everyone gets it. "Man, I said I would buy it. I had to walk to the bank to make a deposit, then got caught in a meeting, then had to call to have my paypal account cleared up from a previous situation, then..."

Oh I don't think the OP was complaining about low-balling. It sounded to me more like frustration with buyers not following through, after the price has been agreed. Low-balling is fine in principle; the seller can either accept or decline. Sometimes they will want to shift things quickly; sometimes they'll be happy to wait for a higher price. If you're in no major rush to sell, items will sell for a much higher price than if you need to shift stock quickly. I think it boils down to two major groups of buyers: those that want a(ny) bargain fast, and those after a specific item in their size. Of course, sometimes the same person is both, for different items. If you don't accept low-ball offers, and only price-cut gradually, and are prepared to have slower turnarounds, then you improve your chances of someone coming along who's after your item specifically, and so willing to pay a higher price. Anyway, all this is a bit off-topic admittedly, but I find the different b&s patterns interesting.

As a buyer, I don't mind paying a fair price. However, the one thing I consistently see that makes me shake my head is people saying they are "cleaning out their closets" only to offer shoes ranging from 8.5 to 12EEE or suits that size all over the spectrum. The obvious duplicity has caused me to not buy on a number of occasions, even though I thought the price was fair and the item was worth buying. If you find good stuff thrifting and you want to flip it, just be honest about it. Don't expect me to believe that weight loss due to working out caused you to lose inches off your sleeve length or your feet to shrink 4 sizes.

Disclaimer: This has not happened with anyone participating thus far in the thread.
