not. and for gawd's sake this is a legendary deal if these (hand welted, hand lasted shoes with Rendenbach soles) fit

Can someone comment on the fit of the Vass of this make? I am a 8.5D in Allen Edmonds

Yes should be fine - 8.5D American = 42 normal width in Euro sizing
the U last can be a little bit tight at the front but don't forget shoes stretch + if it doesn't work u could flip these for at least 50% more.
