As a noob i would really like to educate myself on the topic of suits, and tailored blazers, etc.
i'm looking for how-to or sites that teach me the basics of matching ties / dress shirts / socks / pocket squares with a suit, what proper fit on a suit SHOULD look like, what to look for in terms of quality , different cuts, etc. and all the basic stuff I need to know.

The artofmanliness site is not bad, I'm quite sure there are many more out there so if you wouldn't mind digging your bookmarks I would really appreciate that!

I've tried books and how-to sites. None of them have compared to just hanging around here.

lurk, browse, read through the forum, there are lot of interesting and helpful threads

from the 2 books kevinsp8 recommend, Flusser's book is also a very good start and there you should find enough info on how to match things etc

As for Manton's book, you will most likely get more info & enjoyment out of it when you already know some things about suits, history of clothing etc

I would say the noobiest is Esquire's. Despite some contradictions with SF, I kind of wish I picked it up early on and then read Flusser.
