For sale I have a NWT RLBL 3 piece suit in the rare 44L size. Made by Caruso in Italy and tagged a 44L Drop 7. The fabric is a lightweight 100% wool gabardine in a mid grey colour - 3 season weight.
Really a classic 3 piece with all the styling we've come to expect from Caruso made suits - flat front pants, pick stitching on the pocket edges, lapel edges and pants. The vest has five buttons and two pockets, plus a standard buckle closure to ensure a close fit. The pants are unhemmed and also included is a pouch with spare buttons and matching thread. Full retail on this was £1,545, or approx. $2,500.

Ughhh, how many inches can pants reasonably be taken in before it produces ridiculous results?
Yes, the waist measurement is correct, the tagged waist size is rarely the same as the actual measurement. I wouldn't take pants in more than 2 inches personally.
