Underrated Designers and Brands

What are some designers and brands that don't get enough attention on this forum, in blogs, or are not stocked enough in stores?

It would be most helpful if you identify your general aesthetic and well-known brands you wear so people can know whether they should look into it. E.g., "I wear a lot of BoO, and I found this brand _____ in this one store that fits just as well and I don't know why nobody else carries it."

And let's not let this become a thread where half the responses are "wtf are you talking about, ____ gets a ton of attention here!" If you deem a brand not sufficiently underrated, better to just let it go.

Sorry, I did a search for "underrated" and didn't come up with anything. I think my thread is slightly different, but I agree it's pretty similar.

Yep, Golden Goose definitely tops the list. I would add Mauro Grifoni also. Les Hommes and Byblos are good also, the former can be a bit 'rentboy glammy' sometimes.

Yeah I guess I should have given a little context to my post besides just a link, but I'm a huge fan of that thread and figured it would help you with what you were looking for though. And I would have never expected someone to find it with a search, I actually had a little trouble myself.

Yours just felt like a very low-effort original post (no contributions) so I guess I gave a low effort response.

To add to this thread, what about Riviera Club? I'm not too sure on quality but the price seems right and it seems like it would be SF approved by most, and integrate pretty well into some of the typical style here.

Yeah sorry----I wish I could have added more, but my closet is mostly SF-approved, since I depend so much on this forum and B&S to learn about brands.

I can say I like Simon Miller jeans more than most people here, if one is into pre-worn jeans at all, though I wouldn't call them underrated, since Barneys and other big shops carry them. Simon Miller is about the only brand of pre-worn jean I could find that did not have over-the-top whiskering, ugly back pockets, etc.

Simon Miller jeans are... okay, but I find them underwhelming, especially at that price. I'd much rather go with RRL or KMW (though KMW is not doing washes right now.)

Not completely absent from the forum, but ARN Mercantile doesn't crop up much, and I seem to be the only one who likes Creep By Hiroshi Awai.

So, I'll start:

Underrated brands: Golden Goose (especially outerwear), Roberto Collina (hard to beat their knits at their pricepoint).

GG is definitely underappreciated. What about NCB?
