sounds to me like you are the one with the Bias. I have some experience with Japanese denim as well as American and I prefer my Cone Andes. Some of us just aren't in it for the Whimsy.

Is anyone interested in a pair of STF Cougars size 34x34? Little snug for me. I'd rather sell them here than return them to Ande. Please PM me if you're interested. I'll send them back if no one wants them.

I'm a little disappointed he is changing his denim but I would still buy a pair. How much are they going to go up? If they go up $25 then you are getting within the range of Iron Heart and some others.

Imperial maybe. IH and Flathead are $300+

So whats the big deal with the denim change? Should I jump on these STF Cougars while I still can?
The only change is going to be price, the denim will be the same quality (iirc he uses Kaihara for his black? which is one of the most respected mills)

The new denim will be thicker but I don't know how many oz. 14-15 max? There are also supposed to be some new details so wait and see. I would not start insulting a product before it has been released yet (and before I have even tried it).

ah if he ups his price again I think I'll look at other denim.

i think you all need to stop thinking japanese brands are God's gift to denim. I'm a bit disappointed with how he's no longer using cone (glad I have 2 pairs) but regardless of what denim he is using, his product is handmade and has been grossly UNDERPRICED for a long time.

Don't forget that he already DOES compete with the big boys.

iirc, there was an issue regarding his new black denim ripping too easily...
