Google is great in the idea department but horrible in the execution. See Google Wave, Google Voice, etc.

Do we really need another Facebook? I am not that big of a fan of sharing everything I do, picture I take, etc.

Confused....google voice is the shit. Like...it is really awesome.

Are you complaining about the terrible iphone integration? Because that is due to apple being a douche.

Google Voice is incredible. I have a number of accounts and they work beautifully. Also, every one of my clients uses one in case some stalker gets the # it's simple to just change it. No problems. G+ is simply taking Google and adding the missing social layer in there. Perfectly reasonable.

Google Voice is fantastic but yeah, the app is pretty weak: in-app push notifications when you're already in the text window, no sound notification when you're in the app, etc.

I really just do not have a use for it. It does seem to do a lot and it's free but what's the point? I have had a number for close to 2 years and I have not done anything with it. I have had my cell phone number for 16+ years and I can't see distributing new number now.

Ok, lets see... YOU don't have a use for Google Voice therefore it is a terribly executed service. YOU don't have a use for Facebook therefore Google shouldn't bother with making social integration better on the web. Got it.

Working great for me and my various Circles but it does help to have a good number of people to interact with. I'm most interested to see how they integrate Brand Pages

Yes, I am sure I am completely alone on this. Apparently since YOU have a use for these things it justifies it.

Got it.
