Persol 2720 and Similar Help

Okay, so dumb questions abound. I just got a pair of the 60mm 2720's and absolutely love the style.

But... the arms are too long due to wrap around effect. It is loose by about one of those meflecto things.

1) Has anyone compared the 57mm and 60mm in terms of temple fit?

2) Can anyone recommend frames that are very close in shape to the 2720 with a shorter temple fit?

Or 3) my extreme long shot hope, are there shorter arms out from another model maybe that can fit on the 2720?

take them to the sunglasses hut at the mall and they will heat up the plastic and mold it down.

it sounds terrifying, but i have these same glasses and did this. now they fit perfectly.

kinda like that. sorry for the crappy phone pic.

you can bend the plastic after running very hot water over it for a minute or two. i did the same on my pair, which have a metal rod running all the way through the arm.

Thanks for the photo. I should have clarified better though. It's not just the angle. The arms are too long, so they'd have to rebend it forward of the current position by almost a 1/4 inch. I'm not sure I'm totally up for that, especially since it might throw off the balance of the bent piece length too.

I'm leaning towards just returning the glasses and waiting it out until I can go to a place where I can try out the 57mm or other brands. The 60 fits the width of my face well, but the arms are just too long. I doubt the 57s will work, but we'll see.

I am the most indecisive person in the world.

Thanks again you guys! I took the plunge today and took them to the optometrist, where they were able to get the bend I needed. I definite didn't trust myself to try it off the bat. I ended up boiling some water and fine-tuning the fit a bit after I got home.

Keeping the shades and now not totally worries about bending acetate frames. Haha.
