Professional Quality Ice Cream Maker

So, my fiancee is a pastry cook and really enjoys making ice creams and sorbets. I want to buy her an ice cream maker. Anybody have a good suggestion? I would like to keep it under $500 if at all possible.

Thanks.

Not gonna find many professional quality ice cream makers for that. You can find a pacojet for around 4 grand these days though. I know that doesn't help.

cooks illustrated is generally pretty good on hardware. they just reviewed ice cream makers and liked this one:

the Whynter SNÖ Professional Ice Cream Maker ($219.99) is capable of making continuous batches that are firm enough to enjoy straight out of the machine; plus, it packs user-friendly perks like a digital timer and easy-cleaning parts.

Thank you for the suggestions. I had been considering the second one that Manton posted. Will see what happens.
