is it a fair assumption that your shirt collars aren't 2 inches high?

I'll be sending mine back anyway, but I'd be interested to see if anyone else could have a tailor fix the issue. At the rate of my search, I might just be waiting for the next Benjamin model to come out and just cross my fingers the issue has been resolved. Considering the construction and quality of materials in the suit, it is curious an entire order was made this way. EDIT: Malwear, Gamma...please keep this thread up to date with what you end up doing.

Thanks for posting, guys. Yes, we were more recently made aware of this issue, although we have found that it only seems to affect minority in varying degrees, with the OP's the very worst we've ever seen by far. We have already been working on an updated model to correct this... This issue does not occur on myself, nor any others who tried it on before I signed off on production, unfortunately. While the issue can indeed be corrected by a tailor, the OP's more extreme issue can only be fixed to a certain extent by my assessment.... so, sorry guys... it's not perfect yet, but we certainly appreciate all the valuable feedback you gents are providing so that we can offer you the best product at a reasonable price. Other critique and suggestions are welcome - and of course praise is welcome too!

By the way, we have found the difference in the back collar to be about .25" shorter than what seems to be standard/average, based on comparisons with other brands that we carry... with others tried I had 1" of collar showing in the back, and with the Benjamin I had 1.25" showing. This was with a Borrelli shirt that had a total back collar height measurement of 1.75".

Do you plan on picking up an updated line of this suit fixing the problem, or is in not really a problem on most of them? I would like to check out the Granoro model but might hold off if you are going to get a new model in... Also, if so, what would the time frame be on getting them in stock?

We have found that the issue does not affect most people, but we know what to do in the next production which won't be for another 6-8 months out... at least in the basic solids. We may tool with some sport jackets for the fall/winter, and possibly some non-solid fabrics... nothing definite yet though.

I've been lurking for a while and this is my first post. The good things I have read about the Benjamin suits inspired me to purchase one. After ordering, I stumbled on this thread. I have since received my suit and am quite pleased with the construction but fear I might have the same neck issue, although not as pronounced.
The collar of jacket rides low on the shirt, and as I move it tends to move still lower. It feels to me that there is an excess of shirt collar showing.
I'm hoping to get some input from folks on their thoughts on the collar issue as well as the suit fit as a whole.
I also just bought a 1818 Saxxon Fitzgerald from BB. Both that and the Benjamin are unaltered and I'm comparing fits before deciding between the two. I can post pics of that one as well if anyone is interested.

For reference, I think I'm a pretty standard 42R. Just a shade under 6 feet and about 175 pounds chest measured 42 inches by a tailor at Brooks Brothers.

Any input would be appreciated.

I'd buy some sport coats in a 38L...
