Rare Ralph Lauren Signature Navy Pinstripe DB Suit Purple Label Style

This suit is from Ralph Lauren's Signature line, which I believe he launched before Purple Label. The lined was designed to have a higher degree of handwork and higher-quality fabrics than mainline Polo. This suit was made in the USA, but it's styling is quintessentially British. The fabric is a 4-season weight wool in a dark navy color with a subtle light blue and gray ticking stripe. The jacket has a 6x2 double breasted fastening, and the lapel rolls beautifully to the bottom button so it can be worn was a 6x2 or a 6x1. The shoulders are roped and slightly extended in a structure that is similar to Black or Purple Label. It has wide peaked lapels, deep side vents, four-button nonfunctional sleeve cuffs, full bemberg lining. The trousers are double forward pleat with cuffed bottoms, button-tab side adjusters instead of belt loops, suspender buttons, and lined to the knee. Tagged size 42R/36, fits more like a 40L. Measurements Armpit to armpit: 21 Shoulder to shoulder:19.25 Sleeve from shoulder: 26 Length from TOC: 33.5 Waist: 34 + 2 to let out Inseam: 31.5+ 2.5 if cuff is let out Rise: 12.5 Bottoms: 9.75 Asking $300>>275>>225>>200>>175 Paypal shipped CONUS. Measurements and size info added. I take a 40R in Ralph Polo, 42 in Black Label and this fits me like a 40Long.

This beautiful suit was my very first purchase on B&S, actually! I bought it from the very kind member chobochobo, but it never fit me properly, even after I had aggressive waist suppression inflicted on jacket and trousers. (The crux was the shoulders and the length from BOC to skirt.) So, I let her go at Keezer's in Central square, Boston, MA, a few weeks ago, and, here she is again. Someone should give her a nice home for her fine, soft fabric, and immense lapels! One comment: unless the suit has been altered, the shoulder-seam-to-cuff measurement ought to be 25.5", not 26".
