It'd be great to consolidate local knowledge about where the best stores are, where you live. I mean, there are always threads saying "I'm visiting X, where should I go for Y?". Could we set up some sort of wiki/database/interactive map, where anyone can add their local knowledge?

EDIT: here's a list of some recent threads:

Portland
San Fransisco
Montreal
New York
Dallas
Washington DC
Hong Kong

Fair point. But I can't change it now, unless I start a new thread. Which, I might do now I know you find this one so horribly titled.

In any case, if I was going to visit somewhere I'd search for the name of the place. If you searched for the name of a place listed, then this thread would come up. But maybe if I called it "The Guide-to-shopping-in... thread" it'd ease your pain.

No need to be a dipshit. If you truly made this thread so that other people could find it easy, why would you give a narrow, counter-productive title? Try searching for the cities on your list. This thread doesn't come up but other threads with pain-easing titles like "Shopping in xyz" do.
