the black one is seamless....it's one piece of leather with added stitching and brogueing on top of that one piece ....but it is still only one piece of leather...you just cant see the heel to know that it is one piece...but the guy who commissioned it gave me the photos, telling me that he asked for a seamless wholecut, so......

Oh! I see it! The broguing and gimping are just thin ribbons of leather overlaid on the shoe. Very nice! Thanks for making me look closer.

I was a bit thrown at first too, as it looks as if they could be separate pieces....thus is the skill of Mr. Bestetti....can't wait to see if finalized product with some laces and high polish!

Those are some of the nicest wholecuts I've ever seen.

i agree the shoes are beautiful.

I assume the high shine wont last past the first creme polish though or am I  wrong?

One thing I have always wondered about 'this type' of bespoke models is the steep rise of the vamp. It is a main reason why they look so nice to me, but it requires the front of the shoe to be flat for quite a long distance . Does that mean it wouldn't suit people with relatively high instep (like me)?

It's not too difficult to polish the shoes back to the shiny state they were in when they were first received.
