not just Bestetti. G&G as well... and the resurgence of Alden + shell cordovan leather is attributable not only to the internet in general, but to this site specifically!

It was our Dutch friend 'T4phage' who introduced Bestetti to his fellow-countrymen and the wider world in the mid-2000s. Ever since, B. seems to doing quite a bit of work for Dutch customers.

It was our American friend 'RJman' (while he was living in Paris) who discovered Anthony Delos and introduced him to the English-speaking world.

I think Bestetti now has more Dutch customers than Italian customers.

Damnit, somebody should keep an exact record of these things. My main study is anthropology and I find SF a never-ending source for material on social networking, online forums, artisanal heritage and so on. Just think of all the makers SF has helped to spread true knowledge and helped make a better living. For many this forum seems to be mainly about advice on 'how to spend it', but for me -- so much more.

That's what I was trying to say. The overall style can be anticipated from other shoes shown here, however.

Those are incredible shoes T4.
I'd like to see your collection all at once.
Pick me up at the airport tomorrow evening.
