At the last moment I asked Riccardo to change the piping from purple to black. The leather is stitched and got mounted on the last today. Here are some pictures:

Great thread. Thanks for taking the time to take those pics & make the posts.

As a lover of exotics (and anything that will get you noticed and remembered in footwear), you know I get a cold beer & some popcorn when I pull up to the computer at night to check out this thread.

I have ordered several pairs from Riccardo before ordering the stingray. He has a good feel for what I like so for me it wasn't really a risk. He also showed me the actual pieces of leather before starting on the shoes. So no swatches but the complete skins. I think this last looks really good and the shagreen really brings out the shape of the last.
