Styleforum Moving to New System! - Page 8

Anybody have problems with Tapatalk? Can't load the SW&D threads. Layout looks very cluttered - but I guess some time it will take to get use to it.

Fok said something about stickies not being supported in the RP thread pre-switch.

Have to get used to all the ads at the side

Whao everything looks cluttered! I'll get used to it.. biggrin.gif

While I don't necessarily like the ads on the side (makes it "squished"), the overall UI is pretty damn nice. Cleaner overall - just a little squished horizontally.

So far, I'm liking it.

Thanks for the tip, that works very well! Never felt the need when they were top/bottom of page but on the side they are just eating up to much space. Now if only I could find a similar solution for my iPhone as that is where it is the absolute worst.

Other than the add placement the new system seems nice.

Is there a way to browse the new B&S classifieds listings and not have
the small preview pic shown. Similar to how you can turn avatar pics
off for users.
Makes it much "safer" to browse at work.

Thanks!

Is there any way to make text size larger while viewing posts? That's kind of my only gripe with the new layout. I bet whoever designed it thought smaller text would look cleaner/sleeker... but it just makes posts kind of disappear, especially since now they have to compete with the huge ads.

SF has never been slower. It takes ages to load a site or a thread. Terrible. And the amount of ads, esp. that they're all on the side of the page doesn't make it better.

What an improvement confused.gif

Text is the same size as it always was ...

I do like that eventually the side bar thing disappears and then the post width returns to the same, I'll probably just up the amount of posts shown per page and it won't be noticable after that.

Just bummed out that all my "go to first new posts" are broken from before the transition frown.gif

But I stick to just a few threads so I'm sure it won't be long until it's all sorted out for me. And because of this I really like the main page having like 10 or whatever of my recently viewed threads, I'll just be able to go there and keep up with the 10 threads I actually read uhoh.gif

Control+scroll will set it larger for you. It's fine as is.

Everyone else has been seeing significant speed improvements. It's either your system/connection or your head.

Just mark all as viewed and start anew

Just noticed that on that main page with the "Recent Styleforum Activity" that I was so excited about, I can't jump to first unread post ffffuuuu.gif

What's the point then!

Yes you can. Clicking on the thread title (so long as you did as I said earlier and marked all threads read) will get you to the first new post
