I wonder this same question. My selling threads most oftently have multiple items that are extremely similar (suits from the same maker in the same exact size). I often give discounts for bulk purchases, which will be hard to do as buyers may not be able to find all of the items a seller has posted.

Is there a way to browse the new B&S classifieds listings and not have
the small preview pic shown. Similar to how you can turn avatar pics
off for users.
Makes it much "safer" to browse at work.

Thanks!

The new site feels heavy and slow.

Perhaps some bugs are still being resolved, and there are surely major improvements with the new site (some usability, design, web technologies/architecture).

However, on the Web, nothing trumps speed (and being lightweight).

It takes ages for me to load a page or call up a thread, perhaps I am at work (security/firewall etc.) I can see in the bottom screen and it counts the # of items being loaded. Will try again at home.

Is it possible to sort the Marketplace listings by size or type (outerwear, shoes, etc.)?
EDIT: Durr I'm an idiot, I see the menu now.

One thing I can't see to do is set the date format of the forum to read Day-Month-Year instead of the highly confusing US notation. There must be an option somewhere to allow users to personalise the date format, but I can't see where it is.

Anyone? Please?! biggrin.gif

In addition to this, a couple of other questions:

1) each page takes far too long to load; nothing seems to be cached. Everything is pulled up again from scratch, causing photo-heavy pages to bounce down as photos load. For those of you on lightning fast connections, this is probably no issue, but I'm on a typically slow BT broadband connection and it's noticeably more clunky. If there's anything that can be done with the way images and content is cached to speed things up...?

2) The multiquote system is a pain. You can only bring up the multiquotes in the reply box by hitting Quote. If you're going through several pages of posts (eg WAYWRN), using multiquote, that means you may be quite far away from your last Multi-selected post by the time to reach the end of the thread. You then have to go back to the last Multi-selected post to bring up just the posts you multiquoted. The faster alternative is to hit Quote on the last post, but then that also Quotes the last post, which you have to delete. This is just silly; surely there's a simple programming fix to this (eg like on vB you just had to hit Reply and only the Multi-selected posts would appear in your reply box).

Why has my old avatar been brought back?

Testing. I feel like I'm wandering around in the dark. Nothing familiar - verrry slow....

Where do WTB threads go?
I can't seem to find how to preview a new thread in the B&S section. I have to first post it - and the formatting is completely off, and then I go into edit it. Has anyone else experienced this? Once the thread is up I can preview.

It used to be easy to recognize a thread you had posted in, not any more... censored.gif

??? All the threads you have posted in have a light blue background.

I must admit I find it quite hard to distinguish between the two colours.

Also the submit button should be where the "clear" button is when you're posting a new message or replying to a PM
