Is there a way to customize preferences so that threads load with the last post first? It makes it easier to pickup on threads one may be following.

The conversion basically made everyone seem like they'd never read a thread on the forum before. So far, IMO, the best option has been to hit the "Mark Forums Read" button at the top of the screen. Granted, you lose the last couple hours of posts, but from now on it will function as it used to.

Anyone know if the section (my post) totally got removed, or where to find?

When connecting to the forum from work, where the internet access is filtered through WebSense, the site is now completely broken. None of the images work, none of the Javascript works, none of the buttons to reply or post do anything. All this worked fine before.

The site seems to work okay if I connect to our wireless network, which is outside our security boundary and doesn't have the same filtering.

Edit: Now that I've viewed the site once through the wireless network it seems to have cached the stuff it needs and is working through the normal network, but I don't know how long my browser will keep that stuff cached...

Edit2: It didn't take long for everything to stop working again through the wired network...

First off, congratulations to j and everyone else who contributed to the new look. It seems a lot faster, it looks like it has a lot of extended functionality, and I know how much work this was. Nice work, and THANK YOU.

Second, an apology: I know I should have logged in to the secret huddler site a long time ago and provided feedback, but only now am I getting the hang of things. I'm sure some of my questions/issues can be chalked up to user ignorance, but here are my first comments:

- I don't like the front page because I can't see the forums right away. It takes one click to get to what I consider the main page. I guess I'll just have to bookmark.

- This is a big one, and I doubt I can cure it with a user patch: I can't see whether the stickied threads have new posts! They don't show up like the other threads do. This is a big drawback, as I basically only pay attention to stickied threads these days.

- I also think the vertical spacing is too large - there's a lot of scrolling now.

- What are you guys talking about re: having the threads read last-to-first? Does this mean if I just mark forums read once, all threads will invert for me?

it's definitely not faster for me. it hangs with every page load. not sure why.

overall, I don't know what I think. I miss being able to click on the logo at the top left and have it show all forums. seems like the forums are now more of a "part" rather than the "main event."
