I doubt it.

I think that you guys will find time to do epic threaks no matter how much you like the new B&S system, product review section, etc...

Will the same smileys be available?
Yeah, please make sure and are available. EDIT: Jesus, that's what happens to you when you hang out around CE too much...

This sucks. Way too much space on ads. OJFC. Can't you put the ads across the top of the page and leave it full width?

Based on what j said in the mod thread it will be almost the same.

You have access to the new system, and know that it's not the same at all. The right hand system in the new B&S is used for the list of the same seller's items, for example, like an Ebay store, but you don't need to click to get there.

And in the frontpage, you get your messages right there in that column. C'mon man, at least bitch about the system you've seen, since you do have privileged access.

The ads on the far right instead of up top kind of blow.

That's a personal preference. Me, I like to have the header relatively clean. It's something j and I have argued about forever. In any case, within threads, the text, after the ad and content block, actually wraps around, something VB can't do.

In the new B&S, the right hand column is where the list of other items by the same seller can be seen. You'll be able to see other logged in users more easily there in the subforums, etc...

So, this is just sort of a test of different stuff. You'll see the new system in a couple of days.

Jesus, will you guys shut the fuck up already. They've said that its not final and they're still adjusting the way it'll look. Give them some time and let them do what they need to do. If its such a pain in the ass to read at the moment you could always go spend some time with your families. God forbid.

+1

I mentioned it some time ago in TransMod, but, given all the recent chatter about changes and the new sytem, I figured it couldn't hurt to note it here, too. If there's any way I can pitch in to help the forum, I would be happy to do so.

Thanks guys. Your raises of hands are noted. We are sort of busy the next few days with the launch, and then I am off to NYC with Pete, our intrepid editor-in-chief, where we will be doing a lot of editorial coverage, including increased coverage that will be of interest to Men's Clothing denizens. We plan to ramp up that editorial coverage since we now have a much better platform to showcase editorial coverage.

Cheers,

Fok.
