Essentially, this is it.  It happened to my personal order as well.  The material was apparently just more difficult to work with then they expected from the sampling stage (that coat was actually sampled in that fabric).  So a number of coats (4) got to Stephan, but did not meet his quality standards, and thus were simply not shipped.  I'm really sorry about this, but there is nothing I can do.  I can't even get my own coat!

About 1/2 of the invoices have now been paid.  I am hoping to get the first set of orders out on Wednesday or Thursday, and then after that, it will be approximately a week until the next set is sent.  So, if you have an outstanding balance, please check your email and be sure to pay it ASAP in order to get your jackets, coats, and pants, for the chilly fall weather.

FWIW Fok I'm not upset at all, shit happens. And even if I were, certainly wouldn't be your fault. smile.gif

Think I might be cursed w/r/t pre-orders/MTOs this year, though. Epaulet/SF/Massdrop trainer clusterfuck, Epaulet museum calf boots, Standard & Strange Wesco boots, and now this.

Anyone know how the Algae coat from FW14 fits? I usually take a size 4 (merino, memory, score coat, etc.) but wondering if I can do a size 5 in the algae.

You'd definitely be a 4, I'm a little larger than you and a 4 fits me, 5 would definitely be large on me (buy mine)

Haha thanks. I was looking at Sipang's actually. Love alpaca

Yeah a 5 wouldn't work. Also less leeway fit wise to begin with, merino/memory are more forgiving.

(Is this about my listing ? )

edit: ah, I have my answer! sadly definitely too big for you, someone else should absolutely grab it though

It is a great coat too. Honestly I'd love to trade mine for a different colorway; the gray overlaps a bit too much with my new Peir Wu coat

It's the best coat, probably the only thing I'll never sell. Though I still wonder to this day if I should've sized down, I wore a V in the Merino and a VI in the Algae.

I'm the same size in both. Outerwear sizing always felt pretty consistent through the years to me. Never had to size up or down (then again, coats like the Merino where a close fit is of relative importance work ok 1 size up, not sure about the Algae and its more defined shoulders).

We are sending out Stephan Schneider lookbooks, but there are limited numbers.  We are, incidentally, sending out our first batch tomorrow.  If you don't pay your invoice like, by tonight, the likelihood of your getting a lookbook are slim to none.  Just sayin'.  Also, if you are my size, I may wear your coat around if you let it stay around here too long.  Also, just sayin'

Does anyone know how the shoulders/armholes on the Algae compare to the Wick coat?

Hold on a second! Are you saying that you are going to throw in a look book with my thinner jacket (navy melange) that I paid my 2nd payment on within minutes of receiving my invoice?!?

Geez Fok. You don't stop with the giving do you?

Btw, any quick photos of the navy melange...?

You can wear my jacket if it helps. smile.gif

Nah, see below. Code was only required when the orders were placed back in February, which is where I made my mistake.

Cheers,

Fok.
